
British Council and the Goethe Institute Exams – the key to teaching foreign languages as a second subject.
Aim of the project
The aim of the project is to offer 80 teachers in the Opole province the opportunity to gain qualifications to teach foreign languages as a second subject and to be retrained to teach adults.
The qualifications will be available mainly in English or German.
Participants
The aim of the project is to prepare 80 teachers to take international exams FCE, CAE, CPE and ZD, ZMP II, ZOP, KDS, GDS – to give them the opportunity to teach a second subject.
Who can take a part in the project:
– teachers employed in schools in rural areas, tutors of those schools and also teachers teaching other subjects
– teachers whose level of a foreign language is at least Upper Intermediate
Recruitment of participants takes place between 1 October 2010 and 31 October 2010, and can be carried out using one of the following methods:

Candidates who achieve a high score in the assessment test will be able to take part in the project.

Trainings organization
The organizer of the training is the Bizneslingua Centre for Foreign Languages in Opole
Location of training
Classes will be held in Opole and in the province of Opole boroughs from October 2010 until June 2011, twice a week for two hours per lesson.
Training scope and conditions
120 hours of classes for each group are planned in the project, which will be delivered in 10 groups of 8 people per group. Classes begin during the last week of October 2010 and will continue until June 2011. Classes will be held twice a week for 1.5 hours.
The project also includes training in Andragogy.
The schedule will be provided when the recruitment process is complete. Foreign language teaching will be held in the afternoon.
The cost of training
Participation in language training is completely FREE of charge.
Training is fully funded via the European Social Fund and National Funds under the Human Capital Operational Programme, Priority IX, Act 9.4 Highly qualified personnel in the education system.
